Islamphobia

There were many different things I took away from islamaphobia. There is multiple people living with Islamphobia taking out there preconceived notions on Muslims. There’s so much organized hate and propaganda that gets spread about Muslims which I think is completely insane. I think different media outlets focus on the things that divide us versus things that unite us .I’ve also had close friends who are muslim sit down and hear them talk about their daily struggles that come along with being Muslim in America. They would go into deep detail how mean and evil and even hateful people are when they have been seen out in a public setting wearing kufi and a hijab. It’s terrible to think about good hard working and honest people being called “ terrorist” and other foul remarks is ridiculous. With the way things of changed in our society it’s crazy to think that there is people out in the world who have prejudice against different people of different religions but the will turn around and try to take something from that culture and try to appropriate the culture. I see that a lot today with women who try to wear a long scarf wrapped up in a fashion as if it was a hijab, this was something that I noticed that Kylie Jenner and multiple other celebrities have done. Most people by into the propaganda that they see from these different media outlets that try to paint Muslims in a negative light as if they are terrible people. My close friend is Muslim his name is Bai he also from Africa early into our friendship he that a good portion of Muslims are black. As we all know the more the friendship grows you begin to grow together in a sense of getting to know more about the ins and outs of things such as major does and don’t Islamic faith, I realized early that a lot of different media outlets and people that have their preconceived prejudice. They haven’t actually taken the time to get to know the people they are discriminating against, so they don’t really even know if the prejudice or in their mind precaution that they’re taking is even true or not.They can actually find out for
themselves by actually talking and trying to get them rather than them believing in what they’re told and it’s usually built on lies.
